Royal Institute of Nursing, Jaito Sarja celebrated “world SchizophreniaDay” in its campus on 24th May 2013. The theme of day was “physical Health of people with mental illness” It was introduced by Ms. GurinderpalKaur (Clinical Instructor) also she welcomed all those who were gathered there. After this Respected Principal Mam Ms. Rintu Charturvedi (HOD Psychiatric Department) gave a brief explanation about Schizophrenia& also she showed 4 videos related to Schizophrenia topic. Model completion was held among B.Sc. (N) 1st Year, B.Sc. (N) 3rd Year, G.N.M. 2nd Year, G.N.M. 3rd Year. Afterwards students of G.N.M. 3rd Year presented a power point presentation on Schizophrenia, after that students of our institute performed a role play on Mental Illness & Ms. RachnaKapahi, presented a conclusion of Role Play. Next we came with a session of prize distribution to those students whose models got first, 2nd& 3rd prize. Our Director Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Respected Principal, Vice Principal, HOD of all department distributes prizes to winners.
At last Ms. GurjitKaur (Clinical Instructor) delivered vote of thanks. In this way an innovative & education seminar was conducted by psychiatric Department.
