Nurse’s week has been celebrated in Royal Institute of Nursing, Jaito Sarja from 6th May- 11th May 2013. On 6th May there was a opening ceremony for nurse’s week & celebration of International Midwives Day. Opening ceremony has been Inaugurated by Director of RIN, Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Principal Mrs. Rintu Chaturvedi, Vice-Principal Ms. Rajwant Kaur , HOD of Community Health Nursing, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur & HOD of OBG, Ms. Sharanjeet Kaur. By starting the event, Ms. Sharanjeet Kaur gave welcome speech by elaborating the midwives day theme – World Needs Midwives Now More Thanking You Ever”. Principal Mrs. Rintu Chaturvedi gave description of the full week event & appreciates students to participate in the upcoming events. So many competitions has been organized for Nurses Week, Some of them are cooking Competition , Rangoli & Painting Model Making, Health education, speech, Dance competition & Role Play Competition students of RIN has participated with full enthusiasm. It was educative & fun event for the students as they participated with full vigor. These all competition come to end was closing ceremony & Prize distributing function. At the beginning of closing ceremony, lamp lightening was done by Director Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Principal Mrs. Rintu Chaturvedi, Vice Principal Ms. Rajwant Kaur & HOD’s of Respective Department. After that the function was started by a Oath ceremony by the students of G.N.M. 1st Year, B.Sc. (N) 1st Year, A.N.M. 1st Year with their respective class Incharges. Weekly view of this function was presented by Ms. Hardeep Kaur Nursing Tutor. Various activities like poems,songs and cultural dance were performed by the students as well Thereupon, Ms. Rajwant Kaur ( Vice-Principal ) along with three students presented a report of their Canada Trip. At the of the function Director Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa Shared his views with the members present at the event& distribute medals and certificates to the winners of all the competitions. A while later, Ms. Hardeep Kaur (Nursing Tutor) gave vote of thanks overall it was a educative, informative & fun event for all the RIN family.
