19, September, 2013 RIN arranged a de-addiction seminar which was arranged by our respected Principal mam, Mrs, Rintu Chaturvedi. This seminar was specially to emphasize on de-addiction. Our honourable chief guest was Dr. Barinder Singh (SMO in charge) of De addiction center Batala, other guests were Mr. Raminder Sidhu (Medical officer) & Mr. David Gill (Social worker).
The function got started with anchoring of Ms. Harjit Kaur clinical instructor in RIN. She invited Ms. Simranpreet Kaur for welcome speech. Then she invited our respected principal Mam Mrs. Rintu Chaturved for introduction on the seminar that is de-addiction .Now it was time to call upon stage our chief guest for starting the presentation on topic de-addiction .He told us everything related to de-addiction starting from causes to treatment, programmes & Policies implemented by the government .After the wonderful presentation he clarified doubts of students. After this Dr David gill also explained some concepts on de-addiction and cleared left over views .This seminar increased the awareness in the students about stopping this social problem. Then our respected managing advicer Mr. Gurmeet Singh Sohal came forward for vote of thanks to our guests and gave them special thanks for taking this step in our college and promised them to surely help them in any way, and also presented token of love of the behalf college .The seminar created a awareness in the new generation to take steps forward in removing this social problem.
